Harmony Day Celebrations

​Brisbane Central State School celebrated harmony day on Thursday, starting with an assembly up in the hall. Students started the day by saying hello in many different languages from around the world; Hola, Bonjour, مرحبا, ជំរាបសួរ, 你好, नमस्ते, こんにちは, Алло and te āheitanga katoa! Students from Year 6/7 spoke about their home countries cultures and what are some of their traditions. For the day students were dressed in clothes representing their home countries, including traditional garbs. Students also got to taste different food from all over the world, including some ice cream. Back in their classrooms students got do some belly dancing lessons, play with chatterboxes and do some reading around the world.
