Art Show a great success

People mulling around the markets

Last Friday saw Brisbane Central hold its biennial Art Show. The highlights of the night included the market stalls run by our Year 5/6 and 6/7 classes for their Kidpreneur program, with all proceeds from their sales going towards charities of their choice. Entertainment was provided by the students, with a rolling program showcasing the variety and quality of work of our performing students. All classes had their art work on display throughout the main building, with prizes for best in show handed out by our state and local members Robert Cavalucci & Vicki Howard. While the night was rounded off with an auction of the big join class projects, with all money raised going towards the P&C for them to reinvest back into the school. Mr Martan’s Year 3/4 class won the Auction with their funky skateboards going for the highest bid of the night, congratulations all around!

A big thank you to the hardworking P&C members for setting up the Art Show and the donation of the materials for the creation of the big class pieces, which were then auctioned off. Also thank you to all the teachers who invested their time into setting up, painting, creating and collaborating the students’ art pieces, the hard work paid off well. And finally thanks to all the artists, the students, for their great work in creating such great pieces. Well done all round.
