2 weeks in already!

Year 3 have been hard at work already.

The first two weeks of this term have raced by! Teachers have been working hard to learn about the diversity of their students, develop  class rules, review student data, and establish where students are up to in their learning.  As a result, our students are settled in classes and engaged with the curriculum.   Our English as an Additional Language  and Intervention specialist teachers have also been working hard over the past two weeks to develop support programs across the school to ensure that every day, every student is learning. My sincere thanks to our professional and dedicated staff  who have worked exceptionally had to ensure that the first two weeks have operated as smoothly as possible.

Student Leadership Program:

Our four school leaders had the opportunity this week to attend a two day Student Leadership program with school leaders from the City Cluster schools. Students  had the opportunity to  attend Y Lead programs, listen to guest speaker, Ben Ikin, and participate in team planning sessions program. The program will continue for the next two terms, culminating in a presentation at Parliament House.

Great Results Guarantee:

Our school has received additional funding from the Great Results Guarantee and we need to decide how we can use this money to better support our students and improve their outcomes.
We are now working to develop our own Great Results Guarantee with evidence-based strategies and actions to improve literacy and numeracy.
Read more about the guarantee at .
If you have an idea on a way to support our students to learn more or if you would like to take part in the discussion please get in touch.
